About the method

What is The GC Index®

The GC Index® is an organizational diagnostic tool — an organization-focused measure (Organimetric), which helps explore a person’s natural orientation toward making a meaningful contribution to shared results — the drive to make an impact (Energy for Impact). It does not replace an assessment of an employee’s competencies, skills, or actual performance.

An organization can use individual and aggregated results as an additional basis for discussing team composition, collaboration, and the delivery of business objectives.

Instead of asking “What is this person’s personality type?” The GC Index® asks a different question: “Which activities does this person engage in with the most energy, and what kind of contribution comes most naturally to them?”

Objectives

Which corporate objectives it suits

01
Building and developing teams

See the combination of contribution styles and discuss how to use them in joint work.

02
Executive development

Explore preferred ways of influencing results and working with the team.

03
Allocating tasks and responsibilities

Match job requirements to the team’s strengths without substituting for a competency assessment.

04
Strategic and transformation projects

Determine which kinds of contribution are needed at different stages and how to organize joint delivery.

05
Cross-functional collaboration

Create a shared language for discussing differences in approaches to work.

Model

Five ways to make a contribution

The method describes five natural inclinations (Proclivities), each linked to Energy for Impact. Every profile reflects all five; what matters is how they combine, not assigning a person a single “type.”

The five areas of contribution in The GC Index® model

StrategistStrategist

Tends to see the big picture, set the direction of development, and help others focus on achieving shared goals.

Game ChangerGame Changer

Tends to come up with unconventional ideas, question established approaches, and propose new opportunities for development.

Play MakerPlay Maker

Tends to bring people together, coordinate their efforts, and help everyone contribute to a shared goal.

ImplementerImplementer

Tends to turn ideas and plans into concrete actions, ensure their practical execution, and see tasks through to results.

PolisherPolisher

Tends to spot opportunities for improvement, raise the quality of work, and bring existing solutions up to a higher standard.

A high score does not mean a person is better than others. A low score does not indicate a lack of skill. The profile reflects the preferred direction of energy; actual contribution also depends on competencies, tasks, and context.

Results

What participants and the organization receive

Participants

Each participant receives an individual GC Impact Profile — a profile of the five areas of contribution — along with interpretive materials and the opportunity to discuss the results with an accredited specialist in the format provided for by the project; individual consultations are included only where the program explicitly specifies them.

Organization

The company can look at the combination of profiles within the team, discuss how contribution styles are distributed, and use the data when planning joint work. In extended projects, the results become material for a team or strategy session.

Platform

The GC Platform — more than test results

After the assessment, The GC Platform lets you use the results in further work. It is a digital environment for participants and organizations, not just a repository of reports.

The GC Platform personal account: an individual profile and tools for working with the results.

Platform features:

GC Profile and contribution style (Impact Style)

A personal profile of the five proclivities and a description of characteristic ways of contributing.

Individual GC Report

An official detailed report in English — 27 pages.

Report history

Access to previously generated GC Reports, within the permissions available to the profile.

Team overview (Team Snapshot)

A combined view of team members’ profiles. Team reports are available in different formats depending on the project’s objectives.

GC Translate

A tool for analyzing written materials (role descriptions, project plans, mission, strategy) through The GC Index® language of expected contribution.

ChatGCT

An AI assistant for discussing how profiles might be applied in work situations and interactions.

GC Resources

Resources and methodological materials for using the model.

Colleagues’ profiles and contribution styles

View available profiles and Leadership/Impact Styles within the access permissions granted by the organization.

Access to the platform and its features is provided under the terms of the corporate project.

Platform language: The questionnaire, official reports, and platform interface are in English. This should be taken into account when planning employee participation. Sessions with Psychometric.ru experts can be conducted in Russian.

Formats

Choose the right format

All formats include organizing the assessment and access to the platform on agreed terms. They differ in the format of expert work and the final project outcome.

Format 1
Individual
Individual profiles and debriefs

When it matters to understand each participant’s contribution. Employees complete the assessment and receive personal profiles and individual consultations with an accredited GCologist. If needed, a Team Snapshot can be added to the individual debriefs without a group session. The results can be used to develop managers and key specialists and to discuss their role in the team’s work.

Outcome: an understanding of individual ways of contributing and recommendations for using the results in a work context.
Format 2
Team
Team profile and working session

When it matters to understand how participants complement one another. After the assessment, we analyze the team profile and run a joint session where the team explores contribution styles, discusses how it works together, and agrees on concrete arrangements.

Outcome: a shared understanding of the team profile, agreements on collaboration, and next steps.

Individual consultations for each participant can be added on request and are not included automatically.

Format 3
Strategy
Assessment and strategy session

When the management team faces a specific business challenge. We use the profiles as one source of information for working on strategic priorities: we identify the required ways of contributing and discuss the allocation of responsibilities, the conditions for joint delivery, and next actions.

Outcome: agreed decisions, owners, immediate actions, and criteria for tracking progress. The content and length of the session depend on the business objective.

Individual consultations for each participant can be added separately.

FAQ

FAQ

Is this a personality test?

No. The GC Index® explores how a person’s energy is directed toward different kinds of contribution at work; it is not designed to determine personality type or level of professional competence.

How long does it take to complete?

The official presentation states 59 questions and about 10 minutes per participant.

What language is the assessment in?

The questionnaire, official reports, and The GC Platform interface are in English. Team and strategy work with experts can be conducted in Russian.

Does everyone have to attend individual consultations?

It depends on the chosen format. In the individual format, a consultation with an accredited GCologist is always included. You can choose individual debriefs with a Team Snapshot without a joint team session. In projects with a group or strategy session, the format of individual consultations is agreed separately.

How long does platform access last?

The terms and duration of access depend on the corporate plan and are agreed when the proposal is prepared.

Can the results be used later?

The platform data and features can be used for subsequent organizational tasks under the current access terms and the agreed project.

How much does a project cost?

Pricing is calculated individually, taking into account the number of participants, the feedback format, the need for team reports, the composition and length of sessions, and the platform terms.

Does the profile replace a competency assessment?

No. The results reflect preferred ways of contributing and should be considered alongside tasks, skills, and other relevant information.
